SYNOPSIS
CHARLIE RIVERTON is a carefree fifteen-year-old kid who’s an ace skater and hockey player, a beloved son, great student and all-around popular young citizen of the town. The day after a massive blizzard dumps three feet of snow, he and his pals are at the pond, getting ready for a hockey match.

Sky applies emergency resuscitation procedures and brings Charlie, who is technically dead, back to life, just before the ambulance arrives and rushes him off to the hospital. However, despite all the emergency medical procedures, he slips into a coma.
Despairing BOB and JOAN RIVERTON, Charlie’s parents, learn on arrival at the hospital that their son is in critical condition –in a coma. With no idea of the fate that awaits their only child, there is nothing to do but wait… and pray.
As if touched by an angel, Charlie comes out of the
coma less than twenty-four hours later, uninjured
and unscathed, but still reeling: consciously aware
that he died and came back –highly sensitive to
everything and everyone around him –with a
mission he has yet to understand.
Sky, the enigmatic visitor to Briarcliff to whom Charlie turns for solace and guidance, helps him recognize the power of what he has experienced, and the extraordinary wonder of having died and returned, with a purpose he soon learns is the greatest gift life could ever offer.
